Argos Sofa Bed: Jo Clic Clac Review

Argos has loads of sofa beds to choose from in a range of different styles and mechanisms. They range from the simple wooden futon to the luxurious corner leather sofas / sofabeds. As you would expect there is a big price range as well between the different models. This article will be reviewing the ‘Clic Clac’ sofa bed that currently retails for around £199 at Argos.

The Argos Clic Clac double sofa bed is a great value model that has a very stylish and contemporary feel about it. To add to the contemporary feel it is also available in chocolate brown and red if you are looking for something that is a bit more vibrant. The classic black colour however does look very stylish, and would blend into any modern room with ease. It has a wooden frame made out of strong wood, and is a great idea as a sofa for your spare room, conservatory or dining room. Argos state that it can be used on a day to day basis as a sofa, but that it is more suited to occasional use when folded out as a sofa-bed.

Argos Sofa Bed - Clic Clac Review

A cheap yet high quality and modern sofa bed from Argos

The seating is very comfy when used as a couch and you don’t feel like you’re sitting on a cheap model, however when used as a sofa bed it is still comfortable for use now and then, but you wouldn’t want to use it every night. After all that’s what a sofabed is for though, for occasional use when you have guests of family or friends staying over, as opposed to having a permanent bed frame taking up space. One thing that should be mentioned however is that it is termed as a ‘small double’, and so might not be suited to two long adults, but would be great if you’re of ‘average’ height or use by children for example.

The Clic Clac sofa bed is delivered from Argos and needs very little work to put together. In fact, all you need to do is screw on the legs underneath, which have a nice silver metal finish. This brings me to the fact that the space underneath the sofabed in between the legs is a great space for you to store things. You might want to put the spare duvet underneath, or use the storage for something completely different. However you want to use it it’s great to have the option of using the space if needed.

In terms of construction, the sofa bed is a foam cushioned seat with a back cushion that has been filled with fibre. The wooden frame looks very classy and has a ‘clic-clac’ fold out mechanism. To turn the sofa into a bed you need to lift / pull / fold out the wooden frame, hence it’s ‘clic clac’ name. It’s very easy to use and you won’t have any problems with complicated metal cantilever mechanisms that other beds utilise.

You’ll be pleased to know that this stylish and high quality yet cheap sofa bed comes with a two year guarantee from the manufacturer.
